Why You Should Only Drive with Snow Tires in Winter

It just is not a good idea to keep your snow tires on your vehicle all year long. Winter tires are optimized to help you get good traction on the road in cold, snow and ice.

The deeper treads in winter tires make them not suitable to drive on regular roads during the summer time. The more flexible tread will wear down much faster in the high summer temperatures. You will also experience some decreased handling capability if using snow tires during warmer weather. If you do keep winter tires on throughout the year, you will notice that you have to replace them much more frequently, which will start to get very expensive quickly.

Avoid the expense associated with replacing snow tires that are worn out in warmer weather by having them switched out at the end of the season. See Ray Laks Acura of Buffalo for all of your tire needs.
